Thermoconsult AS was established in 1992 and has since become a trusted name in refrigeration and heat pump engineering in Norway. The company is owned and operated by Helge Lunde and Gjermund Vittersø, both highly experienced engineers with long careers in the field.

With more than 30 years of experience, Thermoconsult provides independent consulting services for industrial, commercial and public-sector projects. Our work includes technical design, project planning, documentation, troubleshooting and energy optimisation.

Our expertise
We specialise in the design and analysis of refrigeration and heat pump systems, including the use of natural refrigerants such as ammonia, CO₂ and propane. Our services range from feasibility studies and detailed design to commissioning support and performance verification.
Thermoconsult’s independence ensures that every recommendation is based purely on technical and economic performance – not on supplier preferences.
Projects and experience
Over the years, we have contributed to a wide range of projects across Norway and internationally, involving industrial refrigeration plants, district heating systems and CO₂-based heat pump installations.
Our role has included system design, control strategy development, energy calculations and technical supervision during installation and start-up.
